40 days. I said one affirmation per day for 40 days, non-stop. It was challenging. I learned the definition of discipline. And I walked away with more rewards than I ever could have imagined. During my 40-day journey, I gained the following:

  1. I attracted the biggest speaking opportunity of my writing career. I was invited to speak at BlogHer, the largest conference in the world for women in social media, and home of one of the most popular women’s blogging networks.
  2. I attracted all of the talented writers and creative assistance that I needed for the orgasms issue of Corset Magazine, cutting my costs and putting me on the road to recoup my original investment in the publication (going for the “black” and getting out of the “red” in this issue!).
  3. I attracted more advertisers for the orgasms issue of Corset Magazine, better freelance writing opportunities, and more clients, increasing my income.
  4. I attracted a seamless transition from leaving Rio de Janeiro, traveling to Alto Paraiso, and managing to live quite well on a budget.
  5. I attracted more love in my relationships, strengthening the connections with the men I’m dating and helping me learn more and more each day.
  6. I attracted more confidence in my service offerings, writing, and entrepreneurial ventures.
  7. I attracted extreme focus. It takes nothing but pure concentration to consistently say affirmations for 40 days and journal. But the discipline is infectious, and has led me to do more meditations and affirmations daily, even though my 40 days are over.

Day 40 – I am the master of my financial affairs, and focused on strengthening within.

It’s day 40. This is the last day of my journey through the 40-day Master System. I am proud, now more than ever. I completed the entire series, saying an affirmation a day, consecutively for 40 days, without missing a beat. The results have been phenomenal, and have led me down a stronger spiritual path and manifested abundance in my financial affairs, love life, and career.

When I said today’s 40-day Master System affirmation, in addition to the other meditations/affirmations I’ve been practicing, I felt compelled to share the following:

It is easy to dismiss meditation, affirmation, and spiritual work because participating does require more faith than what many human beings are willing to give. It is true that your life is a manifestation of your thoughts, your confidence, and what you truly believe on the inside. But what many people fail to realize is that this inner power doesn’t just stay within. Your inner power is infectious and with the right amount of faith, positioned to conquer any obstacle that comes your way in the outside world.

So when I do my affirmations, there are moments that my financial affairs look exactly how I want them to in the “real” world and there are other moments that I know things need to improve. But regardless, I can see my inner belief manifest itself to make that change through attracting the right people to help me in my career, planting better ideas in my imagination to help me manifest more wealth, increasing my work ethic tenfold, and enhancing my creativity to levels I couldn’t even have dreamed imaginable.

Everything you believe on the inside is what controls your life on the outside. Believe that. Day 39 – I am now in the flow.

It’s interesting because I always find that the right people, information, and opportunities enter my life right when I need them most. In the last few days, I’ve experienced bliss between the creative energy that has been gushing from within to the inspiration that I’ve received from my surroundings here in Alto Paraiso. What I now recognize is that this is called “flow.” I am in the flow of manifesting my dreams, effortlessly, consistently, and abundantly. I’m literally just sitting back and watching abundance flow into my life financially, creatively, and spiritually. I feel it everywhere and not only is it affecting me, but it’s also infectious to the people closest to me. Now is the time to manifest. I am ready.

Day 38 – My source is unlimited. I am divinely powered.

I feel my power, and it’s been making its presence known with a level of fortitude that I haven’t experienced in a long time. It hit me today that I already have everything I need to manifest my greatest dreams and aspirations. All of it has to come from within, and “I” need to recognize “me” as the center of my universe from which magic unfolds. While it sounds esoteric, it’s really not. I’m clear that I am divinely powered, and because I am divinely powered and more importantly, believe in my power, I am able to manifest things, situations, money, love, happiness, etc. that most people don’t believe they can attain. So from my spiritual core, I’ve refocused my goals and outlook. I will have everything that I want from this universe, and because my spirit has declared it, it’s mine for the receiving. Let the abundance pour.

Day 37 – Understanding my true nature of abundance.

When I think about my past, my present, and my future, I see abundance everywhere. I feel it all around me, taking root in my life and manifesting in various ways. But I also see it in the traditional sense, as more financial opportunities have come and continue to come my way. Being aware of my abundant self is the key to staying optimistic, steadfast, and focused on my goals of being a bestselling, wealthy author, magazine owner, and wife. But what’s beautiful is that I can already see the universe’s progress in bringing those aspirations to fruition. Thus, I give gratitude in seeing all of those dreams as part of my current reality and will continue to give thanks as more progress is made.

Day 36 – I am the source of my supply.

Four more days until I complete this 40-day affirmation series, and I feel myself ending on a strong note. Yesterday, I started using my obsidian egg, and found that the truth within me and others is flowing rapidly and any negativity within or around me is being purged. I recognize that indeed I am the source of attraction for all the good (and challenges) that enter my life. I also know that I am capable of changing anything that I don’t like or enjoy about my life. And so I have finally began that process.

I started working on my book proposal again, tightening the marketing aspects but also (and most importantly) working on the actual writing and sample chapter that will sell it. I am dedicating this next week that I am going to spend in Alto Paraiso to finishing my proposal, at least to the point that I can start asking for feedback from close colleagues and friends who work in the media/publishing industry. I have a particular publisher in mind that I’d like to buy the book, a very specific audience target, and overall, a larger conversation in mind that I’d like to catalyze.

As I was reading a very powerful interview with James Baldwin, it hit me that the hardest part about becoming an author is not the book sale (as most people assume) but rather writing the actual book and writing your truths. So I’m challenging myself to put my most intimate thoughts to paper, work on this book consistently, and start working toward this author career that I’ve been complaining for too long about not having. It’s so easy to want something without working toward it or believing you can actually do it. I am my source. No one is going to write my book but me. And I’m finally on my way.
